Valplast dentures are the newest options in removable partial dentures. They are metal-free, flexible and more aesthetic than cast metal partials. Because valplast partials are metal-free provide the patient with a more natural appearance.  Valplast partials are thinner than traditional partials and many patients find them to be more comfortable.

Complete dentures can be either "conventional" or "immediate."   Conventional dentures are made after the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has begun to heal.  Conventional dentures can be made ready for placement in the mouth approximately one month after the teeth have been removed.

Immediate dentures are made in advance and can be positioned as soon as the teeth are removed. The objectives of immediate dentures are to aid in tissue healing and to allow the patient to have teeth during this healing process.  Immediate dentures are temporary and ultimately a conventional denture should be made.
